Fire Haus Projects was proud to present a most spectacular and entertaining event!
National Endowment Recipient Singer / Songwriter / Performance Artist Katie Ketchum sang, played piano and painted in an interactive, transformational, music and art party!
Written, composed and performed by Katie Ketchum, "Mad Hattie" comes from the future where the music and art have stopped. She brought the audience back in time to visit American painter Mary Cassatt and discover how she overcame many obstacles.
Ketchum was joined by special guests Kirk Whipple & Marilyn Morales, Duo Pianists / Composers and her sister, Hazel Ketchum, Global Troubador.
The afternoon began with a painting demonstration by Katie Ketchum, which continued through the event. By the end of the afternoon, she created a finished painting, which was the grand prize of the raffle. Whipple & Morales performed works for 1 piano / 4 hands, and Hazel Ketchum performed original and traditional music for voice and guitar. CD recordings by the artists were also available for purchase.
