Composed for him by W. A. Mathieu, Whipple recorded "Piano Sonata 2022" in Mathieu's Sebastopol, California studio in August. Northern California music lovers enjoyed the world premiere performances of this work in a rare solo performance by Whipple. Miami audiences attended the East Coast premiere of this work! Whipple introduced the work in a short lectures and took questions from the audience following the performances.
