On January 12th and 13th, 2024 an unforgettable evening of songs was presented by Fire Haus Projects, The Unconservatory and The Downtowner Concert Series. Entertaining, uplifting and enlightening, Always Remember has something for everyone! This highly-acclaimed world premiere musical is taking South Florida by storm! Cuban-born American Marilyn Morales has written the definitive and timeless new musical about the Cuban-American experience – which speaks to the ageless plight of all refugees. This epic work is a love letter to all people who have sought liberty – and will be enjoyed by audiences for generations to come!
Morales was joined by husband and arranger, Kirk Whipple, in an enchanting evening of songs from her ground-breaking new show. The duo were joined by vocal and theater luminaries Megan Barrera - soprano, Carlton Cornish - tenor, Sebastian Hernandez - baritone, Catherine Magariño - soprano, Gerardo José Ortega - tenor and Craig Wheeler - baritone. Featured on the program were Don Wilner, double bass and Tony Lopez, drums.
